They GIVE it to you rather than selling it! It's the way forward to combatting the dread All Inclusive! (Idea courtesy of the Lanzarote Minister for Tourism-can't remember her name.........)

In  case anyone was wondering what I was on about, when the MFT (aka Dozy Bint) was asked in a Gazette interview how she would suggest cafes and restaurants compete against AI her response was that they should "Up their game". How do you compete with free?

I've always reckoned that being a member of the Lanzarote Guardia Civil must be the world's cushiest job. Perhaps I'm wrong. Maybe Senorita Martin has it. Allow the big holiday companies to dominate the island and do nothing to support the "little man" (English and Spanish).

I still think the Guardia Civil have the title. The office in Yaiza closes for half the day now too (I'm sure I read that somewhere last week). Well... they do need some time off to go get doughnuts! Grin
