Hola
My name is Ann, and I moved to Lanzarote with my husband Kevin in July 07 (Playa Blanca)
We had been coming to the Island for 10 years, 2-3 times a year, and loved it so much we decided to sell up and live our dream!
Being 52 we were a little concerned re: work, but we couldn't have been more wrong!
With help over the internet from a wonderful couple called Elle & Alan, felt as if we had known them all our lives and with their help we met Ange and Dave who run MVP (Montana Villas & Pools) who gave us our jobs! We haven;'t looked back since, the company is family run and working for them is being part of an extended family.
Kevin and myself used to love karaoke nights and decided to set up our own which is now up and running by the name of Two-4-One.
Life is wonderful here in Playa Blanca and we know in our hearts we made the right decision! We have made fantastic friends here and would say to anyone thinking of moving here to go for it!
If you enjoy a good karaoke night, then pop in and see us at Las Brisas in Playa Blanca on a Wednesday night, from 9:30pm

Hi Ann, Glad to hear that you've made such a success of your new life in the sun. Having met Elle and Alan myself I can agree that they really are a wonderful couple. Good luck with your Karaoke nights and I look forward to dropping in when I am next over. Keith.  |

Hi Ann & Kev ... I'm must agree with Flooey it is so nice that you have managed to make the move over here so easily! Having heard you both sing some many times at Wax I'm sure that your new venture will do well for you! As promised will try and make it up to one of your shows at Brisas in the next weeks! Phil

Hi Ann, I enjoyed that little story, its very refreshing and positive. I too am making the move next year to Lanza and reading positive post like that just helps that little bit more. My clan and i will be over in PB in August for 3 weeks so i will dust off those vocal chords of mine. I havent had the fortune (or misfortune  ) of meeting Alan & Elle as yet, but they have been most supportive via the net and i do look forward to meeting them at some point also the other residents of PB. Ha ha ha! Kev and Ann have heard me sing many times, Bob - and love me for it (sad souls). It was them who offered their place for me to practise. They're a really lovely couple, Bob. When you're next due over... either they or we will let you kow where they're performing closest to you. At the moment, I'd thing it's Matagorda - because they have a night in Rock Ola. This is in addition to their Playa Blanca night at Las Brisas. they've got a couple more too... but I can't remember where.

Managed to spend a bit of time with them at a couple of BBQs recently. They also dogsit for us when we go away (which isn't often enough).

Get Kev to do any of the oldie crooner songs... and get Ann to do her version of "Viva España" - fab stuff!!!
In fact - as we're hoping to meet up with you one evening, why don't we tie the two nights in together?
