Fazz's PDC
« on: June 02, 2013, 18:53:27 PM »
Been on TA doing a bit of research about whats new in PDC for our summer hols, and Fazz's Indian is getting great reviews. There seems to be two restaurants , one in the old town and one in CC Aquarium (sic) ? Can anyone tell me where they are and If they're any good ? Both restaurants are getting great reviews on TA, but as most of you know this isn't always reliable. On on  recent review the owner commented that all their spices were Pataks, imported from the UK. I use Pataks sauces at home, but I'd like to think I'd be getting fresh spices in a decent Indian restaurant. I know one resident of the Island is a big fan of Indian (care to comment Clankster ?)

Fazz's in the old town is just down from the crossroads past the crappy square with all the tacky English bars in it.  It's underneath the Nippon Japanese restaurant.  The other one is out past the Casino (if you are walking from the old town towards Los Pocillios) In C.C. Aquario which is on the beach side of the road and has a crazy gold course on the top floor.

I went to the one in the old town just after it opened and to be honest I was a little underwhelmed, I think it was partly because of the way that it was hyped, for me it is as good as anything else on the Island, but not worth walking past the Indian Zaffran for.

I think a lot of it is down to personal taste, for me the curries at Zaffran are much more aromatic, which I like, but not everyone does, if I lived as close to fazz's as I do to Zaffran I would probably be there more often, as it stands I will stick to my vegetable chilli masala at Zaffran.
Go out, do stuff
