Free Energy Saving Lightbulbs

Thanks to Phil from Lanzarote Business Sales, who dropped the info round earlier.

Arrecife, Tinajo, San Bartolome & Teguise are done already... but the following are giving away free energy saving lightbulbs as part of a move to reduce energy consumption. The Cabildo, and Lanzarote Sostenible are sorting this.

It is 1 free bulb per person, limited to 2 per household. I would guess you would need to take some proof of address with you.

Today is Tias... CSC Los Lirios between 5pm and 8pm.
Tomorrow is Haria... Plaza de Haria between 10am and 2pm
Monday is Yaiza... CSC El Molino between 5pm and 8pm.

Indeed - ouch!!  I was quite shocked when I read it too!
I don't go along with all these 'green' issues - the earth is doing what it has always done ~ adjust its climate.  As for us trying to bring down the CO2 levels.......we are a miniscule drop in a ginormous ocean compared to what is happening in China, Russia & the far east!!  Nothing we do will make any difference at all

I'm sure you're right Dottie.

Everyone's gone completely OTT about this issue in the UK.  I've only been out of the country for 8 days and since my return in the early hours of yesterday I've been made to buy reusable carrier bags by my local supermarket and made to feel like a leper when I asked for some free ones too, and my office has introduced a recycling policy with multi coloured bins which is simply incomprehensible!
