Hi
« on: April 04, 2008, 18:30:36 PM »

Hi am kitten (Ann)...unfortunately I do not live on any of the Canary islands. Luckily however I do  keep coming back for holidays to my favourite place, Costa Teguise, Lanzarote  Grin
I came across this website back in January when I was looking for someone to do a big favour for me. Flooey was very kind enough to do this for me  Smiley  After months of just chatting in the Costa Teguise section, i've decided  ( after Flooey's suggestion ) to come and check some more of the site out  Shocked Hope I don't get lost  L.O.L

Thank you to all of you who have welcomed me so far...I come from a little village called Seamer, near the town of Scarborough in North Yorkshire, where nothing happens other than road works!!!

Cheers

Hi Ann,
Nothing wrong with your part of the world,Stayed at Killerby Hall for many years, visited the Harbour Bar at Scarborough for one of there Knicker Bocker Glories and just up the road to Whitby and the Magpie for the best fish and chips in the world, bet you have been to these places. If you look at some of the Canary Night  Life pages you will see now I have lost my wife I have swapped Yorkshire for the Canary Islands...........John

Flash and CeltyGirl from this forum were both in the Magpie (I think?) a day or two ago, with their respective families - and didn't know each other was, until they got back and posted in here! Now THAT is a small world!
I used to paddle at Scarborough around 1973/1974. Mum's got on old cinfilm. Me looking like a chubby blonde toddler, and Mum looking like a skinny rake with a ciggie hanging out of her mouth (she gave up smoking donkey's years ago). Went back to Scarborough for the day about 3 years ago. It was cold, wet and windy - but we sat on the front eating hot chips with lots of salt and vinegar - I'd fly back for an hour, just to experience that again.

Yes please John - oodles and oodles of salt and vinegar. Would you take a photo of said chips, and post it in here for me? I can almost smell them now!

Hi Kitten,

Got confused with those bleeding roadworks last week when trying to take my Dad to Seamer station via Morrisons - got there eventually despite the diversion signs!!!!

Sue,

Mostly, Flooey and Bart are Playa Blance based (lucky sods)  We have an apartment in PB and visit as often as work permits, so does Josie.  Keith (Madstock) holidays in Lanza as often as he can, same for Celtygirl and Bob Cunningham.

'the others' I think are a similar mix, the main thing we seem to have in common is that we love it!!  Grin
