Formerly the Catlanza Cafe, this lovely little bar is right opposite the Biosfera in Puerto del Carmen. It is owned and run by cheeky-chappie Neil and his new wife.  I got to meet Neil there yesterday - and a friendlier chap, you'd be hard pressed to meet. It was lovely to sit and have a giggle in the sunshine... whilst sipping ice-cold chocolate milkshake.

He sells hot and cold drinks, and ice-creams too... and is open from around 10am until 2am. If someone's still there drinking... then he'll keep serving  Wink He says that lots of people head to him because they prefer the open air... or they totter in on their way back to their accomodation, from various bars. You can also chat to him about various excursions on the Island - definitely worth popping in.

I'd been past it a number of times... and not spotted it (normally we're too busy looking at the lights of the Biosfera), but this place is a real gem... so I needed to let you all know it's there.

Got to agree with Flooey on this one. This is my favourite stop off when in PDC Old Town.
When shopping in Biosfera I always pop over the road for a sit down, a drink and a friendly chat. I?m afraid the bars in the Biosfera just don?t do it for me - expensive, unfriendly and you?ve always got to wait ages to be served, that?s if they ever bother to come to your table at all!

Definitely the Bus Stop for me everytime. Affectionately known as "The Shed" it is a small outdoor kiosk with plenty of seating both in the sun or shade. I love "people watching" from the terrace or propping up the bar having a friendly chat with Neil or Trish.

Pop in and see them...... you won?t regret it.

It’s a cracking little bar, very handy whilst Mrs Ole administers herself retail therapy across the road. I don't even have to feel guilty for having a few sly ones because she feels more guilty for clearing out Zara's. They also act as some sort of agency if you want to book a trip or jetskis etc then you can do it there. Totally unpretentious, great meeting place, very cold beer and cheap.
Great bar !
