[SARA Animal Shelter]

SARA are opening a charity shop at the entrance to Playa Bastian, Costa Teguise (near to the taxi rank). Hoping to be open on Monday 5th March but we only got final Ayuntamiento permission today. There is so much to do it will probably still look a shambles ?til around Tues or Wednesday.

Opening hours are 9.30 to 1.30 - closed Sundays and Thursdays.

We are looking for more volunteers to help man the shop, please phone 646 838 749.
Due to limited space we cannot accept donations at the shop (except books...we are always looking for clean books) so call the same number to make alternative arrangements.

The premises were kindly donated by ?Location? Estate Agents in Costa Teguise....... Many Thanks Guys!!!!

We will just have to see how it goes, should do alright as charity shops seem to do a "bomb" in the UK. We are putting all our "good stuff" in the shop so there will be plenty of bargains to be had. And, of course, everything will go to help our "residents" at SARA.

Just to let you all know..........

Karl from Lanzarote Sign has kindly offered to donate a professional sign for the shop. Ordered it today so it's in the pipeline.

A lady donated 12 bags of brand new clothes today......mostly kids things and ladies tops. She was going to open a shop but it fell through, or something like that, so she gave the stock to us.

We are receiving many donations from individuals as well, many thanks to you all.

Just to let you all know, the charity shop closed it's doors at the end of April.
We had hoped to have it for three months but the opwner wanted to do some work on it before the season so we had to cut it short.

Apart from the obvious downside to this, we now have twice as much "stock" as we had before as everyone has been sooooo generous.

I think we will have to have a clearance sale at the next car boot sale at Tahiche Garden Centre on June 9th. Pay us a visit, there's sure to be some bargains.
