Seriously when I told my friends and mum that we were going to an Polish/Irish restaurant for dinner last night they were a little confused! Don't be! I have to take my hat off to Agata who slaved away to bring us out completely different styles of food, all roasting hot and tasting awesome at the same time!

For starters we had mixed combo (some of the usual and some different Polish tasters), homemade pate (like a meatloaf style - totally freshly cooked and tasting amazing) and stuffed mushrooms.
For main course we had Beef Pie (the pastry was perfect and the meat nice and tender), Zrazy (which is rolled beef - similar to a German dish so my girlfriend told me and was just beautiful), Golonka (a WHOLE shank of Pork - Stuart couldn't even eat half of it - again succulent to taste), Polish fishcakes (delicate white meat mixed and fried to shape with fresh vegetables - my mum loved them) and I had Golabki (which was two huge cabbage leaves filled with lightly spiced minced meat - very similar to a Romanian dish that I had tried before). All the main courses were served with mash potatoes and we each got a separate plate (yes side plate) of carrots and peas in butter and fresh homemade coleslaw!
As for dessert, well honestly you would have to be kidding there was no chance we could eat anything more!

Adrian then played a few Irish songs in the style of Christy Moore and then some he he has written himself about the Irish economy and another about Lanzarote - which were made up of some very funny lyrics (I particularly like the dig at Policia Local in one!). My mum said at some point "he has a great Irish accent doesn't he" not sure whether that was the wine talking or a compliment!

We then stepped away to watch the end of the Iron Man and the fireworks ... but if there had been nothing more to leave for I think we might have still been there now!!! I recommend that if you want to have a different and fantastic tasting meal with laid back service (no rush!) whilst you stay in Puerto del Carmen you pop down and reserve yourself a table here!

You can find them just to the right of American Indian Cafe in the little alley behind 928 and the newly opened "lunchbox".
