Just thought I'd say hello.

In 4 weeks time 1st September my GF and I will be visiting Gran Canaria for 2 weeks.  We went 2 years ago and had a great time, last year we went to Tenerife and had a great time there too.

Next year we are looking at Lanzarote, in September.  Probably Playa Blanca but we are open to suggestions, we are looking for somewhere with a good selection of bars and restaurants that are lively but not hectic iyswim.

I'll spend sometime looking round the forum and probably post a few messages.

Thanks.

Hi davetrousers... great to see you've joined us!

Glad you're a fan of the Canaries, and getting to see more of them.  You'll find people here are helpful, so we look forward to seeing you on the boards.

If you like to save your money whilst on holiday Wink then in this forum you'll see some of the bars and restaurants offer discount vouchers etc. You can find those under the bars and restaurants own sections.

Flooey xx

PS: So you like your honey rum eh?

Hello again Elle.

Honey Rum is tops.  It's a shame you can only take 1 litre of spirits back home to Blighty.

I also like the Mojo Sauce, lol.

Mmmmmmmmm... mojo sauce. You can make your own you know - Google has plenty of recipes for it. I prefer the green to the red.

Yeah - bummer on the spirit limits isn't it? You'll just have to drink plenty when you're in GC to make up for it.

I prefer rojo over verde and like it slightly picante as well!

We did bring a couple of bottles home last time and tried making our own papas arragudas!

I've made papas arrugas once - and made them too salty. Not so nice! Hubby prefers the red too. Got a bottle of each in the fridge Wink

I can't decide between the Iberostar Lanzarote Park or Lanzarote Princess.  I think I've decided then I read the reviews on tripadvisor.com and start to change my mind, lol.

LOL Dave.  If you post it in the Playa Blanca section... then hopefully someone who's stayed at either, or knows them well, will be able to help sway you. It's unusually quiet in here today - but it might pick up a bit later on.
