Hello everybody,
This will be our third visit to Playa Blanca in two years-yes, we really hate the place !. On our last two holidays we found the pace of life so relaxing,we didn't venture out from the resort. Could anyone advise us on things to do and visit?. We arrive in late September and are looking forward to seeing that big yellow shiny thing in the sky again.
Any tips on bars and restaurants would also be welcome,we especially enjoy seafood and Italian. One last question, I haven't seen any references about La Romantica (we had a really good meal there on our last visit). Is there a reason for this?.
-
Many thanks to Bernadette for directing us to this site,
                                                                  Dave

Welcome to the forum Dave.

There are lots of restaurant reviews on here if you look back through past threads - look under Playa Blanca.  Why don't you write a review for the Romantica if it's one of your favorites once you've found your way round?

My faves are l'Artista, Brisa Marina, Almacen de la sal (though it's changed recently - see thread under that heading), Case Jose for good fish and for chinese (though quality not always that great - but v good value) Jumbo and Great World (the one near Bodegon la tapas)

Hi Dave - and welcome to the site. So glad you like Playa Blanca... it's a bit nice eh?

Lots of lovely restaurants here for all that you love! For Italian... Art y Pasta just behind the Marina. L'Artista next to the Galeria on the seafront, and La Campaña at La Mulata between Natura Palace and Rubicon Palace hotels.

I love the fish at Brisa Marina - and Pedro's (both on the seafront) is very VERY popular with the locals.

Have a look too at La Bocaina - next to the Petrol Station. They've got their new menus up now too - which you can find HERE . Really good food!!!

Flooey xx

Hi Dave.... Romantica is still there - though I can't say I've tried it myself.

Hi Dave

We quite like Commendatore (or something like that) at the Marina too - I always forget to mention that one but we've been going there regularly for a couple of years and never been disappointed.
