Tell Rich I am really looking forward to an another night at Rooftops in December. We've got our friends coming out to stay a few nights with us so we'll be in for a singsong. I've decided that since I can't look like Marilyn, I'll start singing Alison Moyet now, so my favourite lately is "That Old Devil Called Love"! Easier to look like a sack of spuds! (Sorry Alison!)
LOL - I'll tell him. I know that Alan's popping in on business over the next few days. But we're also up there on the 15th for a Charity Awareness night... so will see him myself then. Fantastic photo of Shadow!!! You can see he's not feeling well - but what a beauty he was. He's off chasing bunnies now in doggie heaven. Ooh, that reminds me of a story - am off the the "Whose Story is it anyway" thread. Elle xx

Thanks Elle. He was adorable. Guido is amazing too. His eyes are wonderful! We are really hoping that we will get another dog next year, but we're not really in a position to rear a pup just yet. Anyhow, we're starting to plan our garden landscaping at the moment and have plans for a run and a kennel etc. Will hopefully be posting up "New Pup" photos in 2009!

Ooh doggie shopping - how exciting?!
Alan and I always wanted a dog. We couldn't have one in the UK, because we were out of the house for far too long each day. Then we decided to move here, and knew we would be working from home. One weekend Alan pipes up "Fancy going doggie shopping once we're settled?" I was at my desk within seconds Googling for animal shelters on the Island - and that's how I met Lynne from SARA.
Ooh - almost forgot - it's Guido's second birthday on 31st October! he can extra cuddles that day... and maybe a new bone too.

I think I'd have attitude if I was a girl called Angus She's gorgeous though - lovely coat Long story Lyndylou! She was supposed to be a "six month old male" when I agreed to adopt her from Damian's friend who was emigrating to Australia. As soon as I saw her and realised she was a tricolour I knew she had to be female, but we kept her and I got talked into letting her have a litter of kittens. She had a very traumatic experience! 1st kitten stillborn, and after number two (who fortunately was alive) she had a delay of 27 hours and was threatened with a caesarian! ("GET THE REST OF THE KITTENS OUT YOU BITCH, OR WE CUT YOU OPEN!" eh, no - not that kind of threat!) Anyhow, she produced two more kittens after an injection got her contracting again. The 3rd was stillborn and we thought the 4th one was too as he didn't move for a couple of minutes. Anyhow, he came to and he is now cat number four - AKA "Murphy", who I posted earlier. Angus subsequently had another litter of five fabulous kittens and I kept another of those, so we had six cats at that stage! Anyhow, Gizmo got flattened under the car and the youngest cat (Chalky) disappeared when we were on holidays. He was very young and I guess someone took him cos he was so cute! So, Elle here's my darling Shadow for you to see. He had become ill when this was taken, just a couple of months before he died. He looks tired and it doesn't show his personality, but you can see how gorgeous he was nonetheless! http://i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq360/CurtainThieves/IMG_2129.jpgShadow is lovely too. I'm not just a cat person, I love all animals but it's never been practical for us to have a dog. Sad stories B - it's great having pets but awful to lose them. I had to take poor old Puss to the vets in the end and it broke my heart. Didn't think I could ever do that again but... Flash has got a bit of a cough
