You may remember that a while ago we asked for venues to host a jazz night for charity... but that with XL going bust, the jazz group couldn't get flights over to raise money. A couple of bars decided that they were going to go ahead and do something to raise awareness and funds anyway. One of these is Rooftops in PB.
They are having a charity night on 27th December in aid of “Young Heroes” – a charity that brings young people suffering from cancer to Lanzarote (amongst other places) for all expenses paid holidays. It’s a fab cause – and the night at Rooftops will be featuring Leroy “Bad Boy” Brown doing the compereing (sp?), and singing. There is a raffle that night with great cash prizes, a submarine trip, Catlanza trip, meals in restaurants and much much more! It all kicks off at 9pm on 27th December – and is a night not to be missed! We’ll see you there! Raffle tickets are on sale now at €20 each. You can get these from Richard or Kate at Rootops.. or drop me a PM, and I’ll try to get them to you as well if possible before the event. More info on the Young Heroes website at
http://www.makeabigdifference.org This is also featured on page 7 of the December Gazette - although the "Young Heroes" link on that article is incorrect... so I don't know if they were given the wrong one or what.
