Shortest day pal, every days a little bit better from today, went out to see if I could spot any bulbs poking through - not yet, but I'm sure I could hear them trying.

Anyway - what do you think about this Gold, Silver and Bronze for GP wins, instead of points.  Rule changes look good in general though, grippier tyres and less aerodynamics, I've been banging on about that for yonks, gets them closer together on the track.  Also from 2010 (I think) no refuelling, I've also said for a long time that moving the overtaking off the track and into the pits was a recipe for disaster (luckily we've not had one).

Snowdrops coming up here!

Marketing seminar a few weeks ago in the office - irritating "guru" was lecturing us on how important it is to keep up with curent affairs so you have something to talk about at drinks parties with prospective clients.

He picked on a 35 yr old fairly sophisticated (well we are in Reading) female litigator and asked her "If someone mentioned to you "Lucky Lewis" who would he be talking about?"  In front of about 30 colleagues she said "I haven't a clue"!

Grin  Hiya!  Yep, all downhill now to Spring.  Still pretty awful weather - it is presently anticyclonic gloom with mild temps and drizzle, soon to be howling easterlies and a max around 3°C but a tad drier!  Shocked

I am looking forward to the new season & am keeping my fingers crossed that Dave Richards manages to salvage the Honda team so that Jensen Button has a drive!  Hate the medal stuff;proper driving with slicks etc - brill;no refuelling??  Best news ever Wink

Bestest wishes  Grin

Must admit on the face of it, it does look like I made the no refuelling part up, or dreamt it  Embarrassed I'm sure I read it somewhere - research required!!  (Mrs Flash once 'heard' a story about two North East celebs having an affair - it became THE hot story (they were such an improbable couple), after a while I asked her where she got it from and eventually she worked out she'd dreamt it and it wasn't true - major embarassment!!! )

I can't stand the medal stuff either - but I'm not sure if it's just me being over conservative, can't think of a great argument against it, a lot of the competitions I raced in were run like that and I don't think it made much difference.  I also think they make it a bit too easy to pass back markers, when I was racing round the better riders passed slower ones more easily, it was one of the differentiators.

Gutted you lot have bulbs showing and we don't - I'll have to look more closely, must be because I'm from oop North.  Clematis are budding like crazy though.

LOL! Cheesy The possibilities of that kind of imagination are frightening Flash. I dread to think what would have happened had you been included in that dream.... Smiley

I also read (somewhere) too about no refuelling... But damned if I can remember where...

Talking about dreams - my OH had a dream about lottery numbers!  He remembered them, and used them on a Wed draw - we won ........................ £450!!  Better than nothing but not quite as good as the top prize  Roll Eyes

I heard about no refuelling - was't a dream so will go and see if I can find a link......
