Hi. It was great as it's still not very touristy. There are only a few partly unfinished hotels, an also unfinished shopping centre [therefore is was sometimes a little noisy], a Hiperdino and the usual shops like Lacoste etc. Everything else seems to be like it always had been.
Could change, of course, when everything's finished, what is on the one hand a pity, on the other maybe a source of income for the habitants... dunno.
Well, what else? Especially the area around the port is quite picturesque. There are lots of small and smallest restaurants and some bars and pubs and two discos (where we haven't been), but all in all everything is quite little and sweet and original. We spend some evenings on the village sqare amongst the discussing locals which was very nice.

That's it, I think.
[Just heard on the radio that there are forest fires also on GC now, oh sh.t

[edit: "And in Spain's Canary Islands, campers and residents had to be evacuated overnight while fireman fought two blazes laying waste to several hundred hectares.
In Tejeda, a mountainous and wooded area in the centre of Gran Canaria, 180 firemen backed up by five water-carrying helicopters battled a fire which had already destroyed more than 800 hectares, a spokesman for the government environmental agency told AFP, adding that it was possible arsonists were to blame.
On the small island of La Gomera, 60 people were also evacuated in the hamlet of Chipude as firefighters tackled a blaze which destroyed at least 150 hectares and threatened the pristine Garajonay National Park." Source: Aljazeera.net, just by accident of course!
At least no-one got hurt. Nevertheless it's a immense loss. Although I hope no-one of you boardies is currently there, if someone will be there soon (on GC I mean), I would be quite interested in how the situation is. Thx.]
