We ventured up to Puerto del Carmen at our last visit to treat ourselves to food at the Thai Siam.  We were both disappointed. We're used to pretty good Thai food at home, so forgave the fact that it just didn't come up to the mark.  The Thai staff (as always) were very polite, charming and attentive, but I just wondered are there any little Thai gems that don't advertise themselves the way that Thai Siam do?  (With the hype you're kinda expecting more, if you know what I mean?!)

Anyhow, any suggestions welcome! (Even if it's "forget it"!)

Thanks!   Cheesy

I think Phil from LBS found a good one somewhere up near Playa Honda a long time ago.

As yes - that would have been Casa Angela.

There's supposed to be a half decent one in Playa Blanca - up past Playa Flamingo... but I've not found it myself.

That sounds promising!  I may not venture alone up to Playa Honda next month, but I'll certainly drag himself along in April (assuming that Casa Angela is still open for business.

Cheers for that!   Grin

Do you have an advanced search facility then Flooey or do you just remember the name?

I have a good memory for anything to do with food which is why I remembered Phil's post  Embarrassed.

I remembered it was Casa Angela... and used the search function for it then. I wouldn't have remembered though, if you hadn't mentioned Playa Honda.

See we have a couple of bars in Playa Honda added to this site this week? Casa Tere (going live tomorrow), and Los Robles. A little birdie tells me there's more coming too - aren't we good to you guys eh?!
