fireworks in matagorda

hi all  first time on here as im doing a bit research on lanzarote  as just booked to fly out 31st dec for new year will be staying in matagorda  and was wondering if you guys can give me any information on the fireworks that night if we will need to go into pdc or can they be seen from matagorda or does matagorda have there own fireworks any info will be appriciated  thanks

As this is a new post then I guess you are talking about the end of 2009? If so then the plans won't have been released from the Ayuntamiento on what and where they will carrying out the celebrations over the festive period! There are always private displays (well not that private really) at the major hotels and so fireworks can be seen in Matagorda and in the right place you could see Arrecife display and even some of the smaller displays such as Playa Honda!
Best probably to get on the top floor of CC Matagorda at places such as Chevs or Barties ...
If it was the ones a few weeks ago ... sorry you missed them!

Hey there bash - and welcome to the forum. LaBocaina is right... it's a bit early days yet. But don't fret - there's always something going on. With the size of the hotels in Matagorda... there'll be bound to be something going on.

Something tells me that PdC will push the boat out this year though...as the one just gone was hampered by the roadworks.
