Hi!

Been going to Lanz' nearly every year since 1993 so know quite a few eating places and night spots.

Problem is we tend to go to the same places every year ('cause we like them).

This year we'd like to go to some new places so:

Which eating places and night spots do you recommend and why?

Factors to take into account:
  • Will have an eighteen month old baby with us (with, sometimes, baby sitter)
  • We'll be staying at Aquarius in PdC old town just above the harbour
  • Will have a car
  • Won't drink and drive

Simple answer. No. Keep going past and it's frequently fully booked so that should tell me something. Don't actually like booking places in advance 'cause like to go to places depending on how I feel at the time.

Really must make a better effort to go in and try it.

Thanks

Carmen's is a must try Alex. Not sure on their policy on babies though you'd have to ask them. Though I think you will probably enjoy the place more if you do it one of the evenings you have a sitter as it is more geared to a ´grown up´experience.

Def worth making the effort Alex for a table at Four seasons.

Decor uninspiring, waiter's humour strange til you get to know him but the Plank Steak is to die for!!!

Enjoy.

Four Seasons is on C/Teide in the Old Town.

Its under what was once the Loch Lomond bar, just up from the Irish Harbour bar on the corner.

Carmen's is on the first floor to the right of the American Indian on the main strip (near McDonalds). Lookout for the chrome stairs.

I must admit I'm a fussy eater and don't tend to stretch my imagination much when it comes to eating the word "steak" has tempted me to find out more so .... What is a plank steak?  Huh
