IS IT A CHIP BARM OR CHIP BAP OR MUFFIN OR ANYTHING ELSE
In cheshire i call it a chip barm , but Julie says Teacake to me that is a hot cross bun sort off thing but she is from West Yorkshire, this debate is raging on forums all over
what do you say

Chip Barm deffo... teacake has dried fruit in it. Baps are usually larger than a barm cake.
Here in Liverpool we prefer chip butties lol.

I don't know a Barm. A muffin is deffo a cake. A chip butty is in sliced bread. A bap is usually about 4 or 5 inches in diameter. A teacake to me contains fruit as has already been said.
That's from a Southerner's perspective anyway.

PS: Was thinking I might have a chip butty for lunch after that - but have remembered we've got some lamb in the fridge... so will probably have that instead.

Green for me too. Haven't had Warburton's since I was last in Wigan - and that was December 2006!
Never seen that teacake loaf before - but it sounds lovely. Toasted with oodles of a salted butter.
