Am starting this off for Ayrshire Stan... but please do feel free to add your own recommendations to this thread - the more the merrier.

Costa Teguise is a nice laid back resort with some beautiful beaches, and great places to eat and drink.

My favourites:
For a cooked breakfast - then for me it's one of two places. Eitehr Coffee and Cream Bistro Bar which is just behind the Police Station on Avenida Islas Canarias, or British Cafe which is in the square to the right just through the walkway from the market. Both great value and really friendly service.

For lunch: I'm hoping Jude will pop in and spot this, and share the name of the restaurant she recoomended to me. It's the last one as you head towards Punta Jablillo. The food was superbe, the service excellent, and it's great for people watching. Top notch! Also worth a special note is Casa Luis which is almost opposite the Coronas Playa Hotel past Playa Bastian. great value, and really good food.

For drinkies: The Cutty Sark is really friendly, and the new owners Mark and Bex are a really good laugh. We do really miss Madge and Smiggy from Smiggy's Bar (RIP Smiggy) and especially their chips with gravy. The Bulldog is great for all your live sports, and for some real rib-tickling teasing too.

For entertainment: It has to be Cactus Jacks - great fun and family entertainment every night. But a must visit is also the Lively Lady Showbar - a real hoot... and must be done at least once during a holiday.

For something a little different: Playa Bastian has little BBQ areas where you can go do your own BBQ on the beach. You can buy aluminium trays with holes in for popping on top. All that's missing are the steaks, sausages, and a crowd.

Ok guys - your turns!

My favorites for tapas, is Casa Luis opposite the Coronas Playa and Lucias which is up from the Maritas.
For that special meal it has to be Oscars or El Navarro's but in the Coronas Playa area.
I don't drink much  Roll Eyes, but when I do..............I like Chiz Pas in the Pueblo Marinero or Hook, great cocktails.
A cuppa is always nice at the British cafe.

I just hope all these are still there when I go again in September. Grin

Ah yes - Casa Luis! I mean to include that in my list. Their octopus is excellent!

Nice to see you Margaret.
