Anyhoo... Bart popped into Vivo's today (a favourite big food shop of tourists, and residents alike)... only it was closed! The word was out a while back, that Hiperdino had bought it.  We think it may now be closed ready for re-branding.

R.I.P. Vivo's!

Wonder if they'll still play the dodgy 80's tunes in the car park? And where will we get our soured cream now? And our Branston Pickle?

To get your sour cream and branston there is always:
Nostalgia - Tias
British Cash & Carry - Playa Honda
Lanzameat - Puerto Del Carmen
Eurospar (big one) - Arrecife

Other than that its ask nicely on the forum for someone to bring it out for you!!! LOL!!!

Hi Snorkey. Nostalgia has moved recently.  It's now on the same side of the road as the old Gazette Office... I think it's just before that as you come from Playa Blanca.

Phil should be able to confirm - as we were talking about it the other day. They have a delivery every Thursday of fresh stuff - so you can get your Warburton's bread too.

Thanks Phil for the info. I knew about the English places... but had forgotten the Eurospar. Must have a mooch around there again soon.

oh so that's why the HUGE hiperdino van was parked there the other day!! cant say i'm surprised their prices were going up and up ! god i sound like me mother,discussing supermarket prices! note to self.......must get out more!!

When you start comparing the prices in the supermarkets and only getting what's on your shopping list, then you really do need to get out more!
