Alan played Stuart, who went on to get quite far in the contest. And I played Buddy. We were both tipped at 6/1 (which amazed me... i expected to be around 33/1 lol)
As the night continued, and people were whittled down... it all got quite tense... with some excellent shots being played! The banter calmed... and people were actually getting quite serious about it.
Rooftops are thinking of doing this once a month now. No qualifiers... just 16 players (or time-wasters like me) getting together, and having a laugh over a couple of tables. The night got lots of people talking, that would generally not get the opportunity normally... and we met some good people last night - including Tracy & Graeme... who moved to the Island very recently (Welcome, guys!)
Stayed off the Sambuca this time... so remember leaving there... but the evening really flew by - a huge thankyou to Richard and Kate from rooftops, who organised this for everyone!
Oh yeah... and we won a bottle of Lanzarote wine in the raffle... which is chilling in the fridge as we speak!
