Hiya Tracey

You are as much of a fan of a cooked brekkie as we are. So just thought we'd let you know that we had a good one today at The Lighthouse Cafe in Faro Park. We both had the small option (Couldn't have managed the biggie), and it came with a fried egg, sausage, bacon, beans, tomato, and toast. All washed down with a mug of tea of course! the biggie has double that lot, plus has brown and "blood clot on a plate"... sorry, apparently that's called Black pudding. Yuck!

It's in the opposite direction to town from where you'll be staying... but it's worth popping up there for one. Say hi to Gary from us.

They also do takeaway on the their full menu - so they'll do your sarnies for the beach too! Oh, and their bar next door, The Snug, does loads of draught beer. Found out they have draft Strongbow there - so our friends out next month will be very happy bunnies!

Catch you later!

Well you could walk it - but probably best for 3 minutes or so in the car.

Not many sleeps now then eh!

No - couldn't get anything under £350  each - barking - but going Feb half term - the majors have sussed it (Thomson, First Choice etc - all well over £300 each), but xl.com have priced for the Derbyshire holidays - which are a week later than the Notts ones - £500 for four of us - £1200 the next week I'm sure they'll notice soon Roll Eyes

Hi Tracey. Missing us yet?  It's very, VERY hot today - almost unbearably so.  42 degrees in the shade... and the wind is absolutely mental. Stick your hairdryer on full, and on top heat... and hold it into your face.... that's just what it's like! I only wish I was exaggerating lol.

The breakfast at the Snug - yes, it's the same as The Lighthouse in faro Park. The two bars share each other. same owners etc... and same patio.  We only discovered it recently, but yeah it's a goodun.

So we'll see you next year then yes?

Hi Elle,, For as much as our weather is awful (not too bad today actually) I wouldn't fancy that!! Especially as aircon is a rarity in Lanzarote.. I remember that hot wind the year before last,, when it about 34 degrees at 11 o'clock in the night!!

We never drove as far as Faro Park in the end so didn't get to the Lighthouse,, we enjoyed the Irish Anvil breakfast too much!

We will definately be back in Playa Blanca next summer.. PDC at christmas as its already booked.. Mind you thats if I can bring myself to pay over £350 each for the flights!!!

Ouch - that's a lot of money! We're looking at flight p[rices to bring the lads over at Xmas... and no, there's not many bargains about.

Will be good to see you again next summer though. Will drop you a PM in a bit with something related  Wink

The hot winds have dropped a little today - but it's still really sticky today. So glad we have a pool... I don't think we'd cope otherwise.
