Now we have access (ahem) to British and American television - we've been ctaching up with all our old favourites.  But a number of these are now ending their series... so I wonder if you guys can suggest something new for us. Perhaps there have been some new programs starting on the telly since we movved that we don't know about. The following are some of our faviourites... which may give you some ideas.

Doctor Who - yes, we're fully up to date with this... and never tire of it!
Torchwood - thanks to LyndyLou, we got to see the first half a dozen of the 1st series (gotta love Captain Jack) and will soon have our mitts on all the rest too.
Gavin & Stacey - because someone posted a link in here to the Comic Relief (or whatever it was) sketch - we looked up the comedian. We found him in Gavin and Stacey... and I have to say we laughed from the opening scenes of the first episode to the closing scenes of the last. Roll on the next series! Apparently they're making one more this year... "What's occurring?" LOL
Britains Got talent - we're up to date
American Idol - up to date (and seeing this week's results this evening, so don't tell us who's going). Adam to win!
Lost - up to date, and should be watching the season finale tonight or tomorrow
Battlestar galactica - loved it! Shame there's no more being made though
Eureka - it's ok. Nice enough brain dead telly to wind down to. Have watched all of season 1, and should have seasons 2 and 3 shortly too
Shameless - have seen them all now. Season 6 was the best yet ion our opinion... and wow what a finale?!

So... does anyone know when Pop Idol starts over there?

We don't do musicals, we don't do dancing shows, we like to laugh, and we love scifi.

So can anyone recommend some cracking telly series to look out for?

Fringe is pretty good, bit like the x-files. Sanctuary, amanda tapping is starring in this one (Stargate). Anyone out there been to see star trek?  went to see it last night and was a little disappointed in it, special effects were brill as were the cast but had a problem with the story line. My daughter thought it was totally brilliant but then she wasn't brought up on the original series!!!!! any other fans out there with an opinion? Smiley

"Dexter" on FX (about a serial killer who works for the police!) on FX is fab.

"Ideal" (a comedy with Johnny Vegas) as a Manchester drug dealer has just started a new series on BBC3. Funny stuff!

The current series of "Smallville" (E4) is the best it's been for ages.

Right... thanks again for these suggestions - do keep them coming!

All queued up ready for us to erm... acquire!

The only one I didn't bother with was Smallville... but that's because I never really got into that one.

Angel - I'd love to see Star Trek. Have heard good things. Leonard Nimoy is in it isn't he? I've read loads of comments on www.imdb.com about it - so will give it a try when we can.

Thanks again everyone!
