E la verita!

Now we will know each other holiday dates and we will be sure to catch up with each other.  Perhaps we could also have met in Italy and not known each other, as I have visited your wonderful country about 10 tens in all!

What part of Italy do you come from?

I'm from Lecce, a small city in the south of Italy.

But I live in Tourin from 15 years (about) and I work in Milan.
I stay in Milan from Monday to Friday and I came back to Tourin on the week-end.
On Tuesday I will go To France on holiday.  I will be here again on 16th of august: if you decide to came here (Milan-Turin) tell me.

I've visited Milan a couple of times, once with a friend of mine when we were taking a week long holiday travelling by train and then a second time with my husband.  The first time Susan & I visited Verona, Bologna, Florence and Cremona.  With Alan I visited Bergamo, and then back to Florence and Cremona.

I've been to several parts of Italy over the years and it is my favourite country of all to take holidays. I also love Lanzarote but it is the climate that draws me there over Italy, as it is never too hot and never too cold!  If I could wave a magic wand and give Italy the climate we experience in Lanzarote and then I could have the best of both worlds!

Milan is a lovely city but my two favourite cities would have to be Florence & Rome.  Over the years I have been to several parts of Italy.  In addition to the places I've mentioned above I had stayed in Alassio, Santa Margherita, Limone at Lake Garda and in Venice.  Also in Atina, Sorrento, Assisi, Siena and in several small towns in Tuscany, my favourite of all being San Gimignano.

I guess you could safely say that I love Italy!   Grin

Ciao Ombretta!   Tutt'aposto?

You may remove Naples and Capri from the list!  I visited both a few years back.  Naples is kinda crazy!  We went there to visit to museum to see the artefacts from Pompeii which we had visited in 2000 or so. The museum was excellent and there was a fantastic Egyptian collection in the basement that we hadn't expected to see.

I was in Sardegna a couple of years back too but just got to visit the Calgliari.   I would love to have had time to visit the coast further north.  We were on a cruise so there was only one day in port and hence not a lot of time to see all we would like to have seen. It would be lovely to go back there sometime.

Sicily will hopefully be there next place I visit in Italy.  I've thought about going several times, but just haven't got around to it yet.  I will take your advice and look forward to visiting it before too long!

A piu tardi.   Kiss
