Hi

i'm hoping to move out to Costa Teguise within the next few weeks, I am looking for a 1 or 2 bed place to rent for no more than 600euros including bills.
Does anyone know of anywhere to look?

Can any one help me out with the internet out there, how does it work? Do you just pay a monthly fee no matter how much usage you use?! Slightly confused by it hehe!!!

Any help is really helpful!!!

Also, going to be looking for a job whilst out there, any one know of any places looking for workers?!

Hola hainaultman - I've already partially answered this on another thread... so I'll copy it into here and then add to it for you. Hopefully a few others will jump in and help too!

The island is quieter all over at the moment because of the reduced visitor numbers. It seems that Costa Teguise is finding it particularly tough - although fortunately it has its faithful fans who return year after year. Personally I like it when its quiet, as I can get served quicker LOL.

If you are thiking that just by rolling up that a job will fall into your lap, then I'm afraid that you're in for a shock. Unemployment percentages are higher here than the UK... and that's just speaking about registered residents - not all those that live and work (or not) without being in "the system".

That being said... if you have enough money to tide you over... and aren't desperate to find a job - then go for it. It will be a nice long holiday for you. Our attitude is that it's better to be skint in the sunshine, than in the rain. Grin

Ok... now to fill in the gaps...

For renting - contact nic@rhlanz.com - she usually has a few rental properties on her books, and will certainly look after you.

Internet - you can either get ADSL from Telefonica... or a contract "dongle" from a mobile phone provider. Both can offer you an "unlimited usage" deal. Alternatively... lug your laptop down to one of the bars that has wifi. There's a few hotspots around the resort.

Have a look at the website that is in my signature honey... you'll find all sorts of bits and bobs to help you in there too!

Finding work - I've pretty much pi$$e'd on your parade earlier in this message I'm afraid - but the best way to get work is to actually be here, and keep getting your face in front of people.

Good luck with it all!

Flooey xx

PS: I see Bart has posted a link to the website too, whilst I was typing.
