Hello

Does anyone know if there are Child Minders on the Island. I am a registered Child Minder here and could quite easily go back to college for a few weeks refresher if it is a line of work which may be required out there.

Yes, there are nurseries called (I think) Guarderias. Not sure about 1 to 1 childminding though.

Definitely worth looking into hon... just talk to Phil first about the legalities... as I wouldn't have the first idea.

Yes, the state provision in Spain is fantastic for pre school and holiday clubs and the prices are buttons compared to the UK. From what I have read, I would see the market for chidlminders in the collecting from school/after school, evening or weekend market as I believe that most schools finish at 2pm and the nursery/holiday club prices are so good it would be hard for you to compete and make a decent living. I stand to be corrected, but that's my feel for it.
