Hi guys.

Although we live here... we don't do much of the tourist stuff. We tend to save it until we have visitors over, and then it's new for us too.

I've been looking at the Rancho texas website this evening. www.ranchotexaslanzarote.com

Have any of you been? And what about the Western nights?  What did you think?

I went for a birthday party, its a good night out if you like the touristy thing.. have to say not my cup of tea all the reps getting you to shout for your tea etc... and the drink was a bit watery I couldnt get drunk.

Went to the bar asked for a glass of red wine.. he said whats the password !!! I said stuff the password just give me a glass of red wine before I kill someone.. he gave me the red wine !!

The food is excellent though and its great for the kids.. lots of line dancing and whip shows. You have to do it at least once just for the experience.

Thanks SallyAnn.  We were thinking primarily of the boys when they're over this summer. It wouldn't be the scene for Bart & me normally.
I'd have replied to the barman exactly the same as you regarding the wine too... only a little less polite!  Grin

Hi guys

Never been at night, but its good during the day as a sort of zoo.  The eagles are amazing and Reece tells me that they now have a white tiger!

Worth a look during the day anyway  Smiley

Those tigers are great.  Reece went on a school trip so didn't get photos.  They look really nice

Thanks for that

I think its a great night out ... but I do believe it depends when you go!!!
If you are a person who doesn't like to "join in" with fun and games then don't bother going ... you have to shout for your dinner, you have to shout to cheer on your team, you have to sing along, dance and basically make a fool of yourself (something I've got a lot of practice at!).
Yeah so the beer is weak and so is the Sangria but with soft drinks and food included as well (spirits aren't that dear) ... I think it is great value for money and a really good fun night out (totally different from the norm).
If you are going to go Flooey then give me a shout as I will definitely be up for coming along to make a party of it and with my quiet voice I'm sure we might get our dinner 1st!
