Was chatting to a couple of people in PB the other day. We were all moaning about Vivo's now being taken over by Hiperdino. Anyway... they said that Maxcoop has just opened at the Marina Rubicon, so yesterday Bart & I went along to have a look.
Must say, we were disappointed. The prices were around 30 to 40 cents dearer than Hiperdino at the other end of town. Our favourite wine was 50 cents dearer It wouldn't be somewhere we'd do our shopping... However, for anyone staying up the Marina end of town - it's ideal. It's a fair size, and the vegetable counter looked pretty good too.
Still no fresh fish counter though.
It's located at the back of the new shopping centre, for anyone who wants to find it.

Must agree with Flooey on the fact that if you live at this end of town then it definitely makes sense over Hiperdino (I mean you can pull up and park for a start!) ... but also agree that it isn't the best supermarket in Playa Blanca (they didn't have fresh milk when I went ... but the butchers and fruit & veg was very good).
So watch this space as it has only just opened it might get better ... and for the fresh milk you can just walk out of the centre 20m to the Vivo on the Marina that has it!
