My first day at school, I took in a brown paper bag and gave it to the teacher.
"Thank you, smokie", she said, "how lovely, an apple".
The second day, I took another brown paper bag and gave it to the teacher.
"Thank you, smokie, how lovely, a pear".
The third day, I took another bag and the teacher said,"that's very nice, smokie but you don't have to bring me something every day. What is it"?
"you guess, miss", I replied.
Miss asked, "Is it another apple"?
"no, miss".
"Is it another pear" ?
"No, miss".
The teacher noticed that the corner of the bag was wet and so she rubbed her fingers on it, tasted them and said, "oh smokie, "it's a peach, isn't it" ?
"No miss", I replied, "it's a kitten".
