Is that okay Karsten? Grin

i always put a plastic bottle three quarters full into the freezer at night..the next day top up with water to the top...that way you always have iced water at your disposal..when walking about ..the solid ice cube keeps it cold for hours on end.
you can use the small bottles that you would normally carry about when walking. excellent for hot days

Good tip.
I can't stand plain water though, I'd have to put something in to flavour it.

Not very polite, but they say you should drink enough water to pee clear at least once every day.

The last whisky I had was when I was 18 and I had it on top of 15 rum and blacks,
I wasn't very well.
Ridiculous to be that ill before ten o'clock at one of my sister's 21st party.
Didn't have any alchohol then until in my thirties.

OMG must have been bad to put you off for over 12 years!  Wish something would put me off for that long - I'd be half my size!

It doesn't work like that because I'm not half my size, though I wish I was.

It was utterly humiliating, but until my thirties, I never found an alcoholic drink that I liked the taste of.
It wasn't a pious, non drinking "pledge"  thing, I just preferred the taste of soft drinks and it meant the drinkers were never short of a driver. So it was good for everyone.
It's only about 25 years ago though that there were people in our group who would refuse to include a soft drink if they were getting a round in, with comments like, "if you're not having a proper drink then you can get your own".
Nowadays a round of drinks can include several "proper" drinks, a few soft drinks and a couple of coffees. (and nobody passes comment)
It shows how times and attitudes change.

Waiting to go back to Lanzarote.......

It always amazes me how people on holiday can start drinking beer before noon.  I know it's each to their own, it's your holiday etc etc, but I just can't stomach it.  It makes me bloated and I want to go to sleep.  I'd rather be nicely hydrated and have a bottle of wine in the evening and not get hungover or end up in hospital!

I'm the same.... I rarely drink before sundown (she says... as she's on her second can of lager). It just sends me to sleep.  But some people are made of sterner stuff than me lol.
