Steve and Steph do a good bit of grub at the Lighthouse Cafe.
The Credit Crunch Breakfast is great value at 4 euros including tea or a big glass of good orange juice.
The chips are home made as are almost all the meals.
Fish and chips are good and the pie and chips is home made pie, not a supermarket individual one. Gravy is nice too.
Puddings, sorry desserts, are lovely, again home made.

They've got Jo working there and it's always nice to chat to her, she's so enthusiastic about everything.
They have "specials" on every evening, I've tried a few and always been pleased.
Lots of other bits and pieces, duck wraps and suchlike.
Good milkshakes too.
They also have a non smoking area and an internet area and easy parking.
Well worth a visit down there, with the two bars either side and Le Moka two doors down selling fresh bread and beautiful cakes and that little supermarket carrying a huge range of stuff, it can save a trip into town.
The atmosphere among the regular customers and the staff at these bars and cafes is a bit like a small village, everyone seems so friendly, long may it continue and it'll be a happy place for customers to want to go to.

I think Steve and Steph are nice and so are all the guys working along there.
If they can keep that ambience along that strip they'll all benefit.

Not quite as busy for "people watching" as town, still enough though,  but just seeing the "Huge By Any Standard Great  Dane" that goes past makes it worth a visit on it's own.

We like the Lighthouse Cafe too. It's the credit crunch brekkie for us also - just the right amount - without filling you up too much.

The refurb looks great, doesn't it!

Jo's lovely... first met her when she was runing Cafe 34 with her man.

Am now craving a weasel breakfast.

Elle xx

PS: Yes, that Great Dane is MASSIVE!

I forgot to mention that we went for tea there a couple of times over the last week and a bit and had the "Haddock and Chips" that's the special on Friday nights. (or Cod and Chips)
It was so good the first time, I had it the second time as well and Mrs smokie also had it after pinching a bit of mine last time.
They also do a decent brew of tea as well.
Somehow (because I've been on a "skinny week") I managed to resist having a pudding, which is a shame because they're always good there.   In reality, it's only deferred for a week or so and then when I've lost a little bit more weight, I'm owed a pudding.
