After a few visits I'd like to put a few comments on. Dave and Marion have done a cracking job down at Le Moka.
Even if it was just a bread and cake shop it'd be brilliant but it's so much more than that.
They now have a good menu ranging from a superb all day breakfast for only 3.5 euros, this is not the "Small Breakfast" that you see in some places. It's certainly a good way to start any day, several slices of beautiful Spanish bacon, egg, sausage, mushrooms, beans or tomatoes and a slice of proper toast, "toasted in a toaster", not fried in oil like some places. They also do lighter breakfasts; scrambled eggs or beans on toast and a continental brekkie with croissants and fresh orange juice. I think you have a choice of cool or warm croissants with that but I'm not certain. I'm always on the full brekkie which is available all day.

The "proper meals", I thought would be light snacks but believe me these will fill you up well. They do a range of crepes, both sweet and savoury. I've not had a sweet one yet but I've seen them being dished up and they look lovely and the other customers always sound happy about them. I have had the "big" savoury one lots of times and it's a fabulous meal on it's own, the menu doesn't mention it but Dave has always given me a bit of fresh bread with it too. That's the one with;Bacon, cheese, mushrooms, chicken, egg lettuce and tomato.
Mrs smokie has had the curried chicken crepe a few times and she's as fussy about her curry as I am about my coffee.
On the Platters menu, I've had what's called "chicken bites and chips", it sounds like a kids meal. It's not, boy is it a good filler, the chips are lovely and the chicken is real peices of chicken not that reconstituted stuff.
Mrs smokie has had the baked potato with prawns and loved it but baked potato is a bit too healthy for me.
People in our family have had the omelettes and loved them and believeit or not I've had a salad as well. I don't normally go in for salad, so I ordered the chicken, bacon, cheese lettuce and tomato-- Fantastic.

Mrs smokie has had the toasted sandwiches and loved them.
She has also had a thousand (nearly) milkshakes, now made with chilled milk and tasty as you like. I've tried the banana, the mango, the summer fruits, the coconut and the coffee all fine on a warm day.
They also do Carte D'Or scoop ice cream in cornets or tubs. I looked at the prices and it refers to "one scoop" or "two scoops". I think dave uses a big trowel instead of one of those tiny scoops.
You've probably already seen the cake display chiller. They have a good range of cakes from the little dainties through to big vanilla slices and always fresh.
They also sell, takeaway, cornish pasties,we've tried them and they're as good as any we've sold in the past and boy have we sold some pasties in the past.
They sell loads of croissants for takeaway as well as beautiful freshly baked bread. I love the rustic(a) loaves.
Have I missed anything ?

You bet I missed something. The nice thing about going there is the ambience, you can sit there with your coffee, wasting the day away, content after a good meal but what helps is that Dave and Marion are really, really nice. They make it a pleasure to go out to eat you can sit and listen to Dave chatting away in Espanol to the local Spanish and then pick his brains about Speaking Spanish yourselves.
Along that little strip of shops, everyone seems very friendly, it definitely helps the atmosphere and with that little supermarket carrying a good range of stuff, it very often saves a trip into town for the holidaymakers. Parking is a doddle which must be a bonus with kids and old legs and stuff like that and if you're very lucky you might get to see the biggest Great Dane that I've ever seen walking past.
We've had a catering business ourselves and some customers don't like to complain or criticise. In other places, we've all heard people at the next table moaning but when they're asked "was everthing ok" they smile, bottle it and say nothing, then when the waiter has walked away you hear, "why didn't you tell him". I've NEVER heard that conversation in Le Moka, that tells us something.
Crikey, I nearly forgot the important bit that I was holding in the copy and paste bit;
You all know that I'm a bit fussy about coffee, at Le Moka, it's perfect for me and they have the full choice of styles from the tiny cups that the Spanish locals drink, through to the big Latte Macciato and all points in between. I've even seen UK holidaymakers' teenage kids having the Leche,Leche coffee (the one with condensed milk/coffee/milk) which I thought only the locals knew about.
It all gets the thumbs up from me and mrs smokie. Big thanks to Dave and Marion and the good staff they have for looking after us so well.

A cracking review smokie - and one that I'm sure that Dave and Marion will be chuffed with.
A well deserved review though... definitely!

I'm not sure the title is quite accurate now though but you know what it's like when you're keen on something.
I'm hoping that I'll get extra sugar in my coffee for doing a full review.
I couldn't find any mention of the milkshakes on the menus page and they are deffo worthy of comment, but maybe I missed them. Also, you know how bad I am with names so I couldn't name the good staff who work there but I'm sure they know that we appreciate them.

Ah yes - the milkshakes look great! They weren't on the main menu... but we'll get the pricing from Dave.
No doubt we'll see you down there for a cuppa and a cake soon xx

Loving Le Moka! Someone tell me where it is, QUICK!
OK - it doesn't actually have to be that quick - just once it's before August 30th!

Really easy to find Bernie! Head to Faro Park.... and it's the last unit at the far end of the shops.
From your place, head into town... then past the port and all the way to the end of that road. Turn left at the end, and keep going past the Natura Palace and Rubicon Palace hotels. Way past there is a mini roundabout. Turn left there, and then right at the next mini roundabout. The shops are all on the left. Their page in the main site has a small map on it. If you get lost - just give me a bell.

Will track that down in a few weeks Elle.
I'm sure the lads would love a bit of brekkie there every now and then. (Like once the rashers and stuff has run out back at Casa Verde!)

We'll see you down there, don't drink all the coffee if you get there before us. It's always worth an "early in the day" visit, just to look at the cake chiller when it's full. Talk about spoiled for choice. Magnificent !! A lot of Spanish cafes and restaurants don't seem to "get" the concept of cakes. Some places even advertise on the menus a bowl of custard with a Rich Tea biscuit laid on top. I ask you, is that a dessert you'd pay for, or a student's "what's left in the cupboard, we've run out of Pot Noodles" ? Le Moka do understand the concept of, "you eat with your eyes".

Ok, I know this shows me up to be a bit of a fool but I didn't mention that Le Moka also have a "Specials" board with something different each day. I didn't know and boy, did I get some stick (lots) for walking past it every single time without seeing it.(but mrs smokie must be as bad) I reckon that I'm probably always looking to see if anyone is sitting at "our table", otherwise how could I have missed it. Anyway, today I think it's lassagne.
