Hi!  There is a chance that we may get 2-3 weeks in the sun later this year  Cheesy  Our fave villa at La Asomada is booked thru til Feb so I have been looking at fincas, cottages to rent.  Have seen some nice ones in the above area that back onto the tidal pools.....does anyone have first hand knowledge of the area?  We love Arrieta beach as Bill can fish whilst I soak up the sun and occasionally cool off in the sea!

We only need 1 bedroom as it will just be us 2, but need swimming facilities! I have been rather taken with the yurts at 'Finca de Arrieta" but it seems it may be too 'communal'!

Don't know the area as regards staying there... but hasn't Brynette got a nice rural villa somewhere too honey? There is also a stunning one up by Haría... but I can't remember the name of it. Will and his missus stayed there for part of their honeymoon.

Thanx Flooey  Grin  We have considered what Bynette has to offer but the rural villa is too big and has a solar-heated pool!  Not so good in the winter months, but a beautiful villa nevertheless!  The smaller properties are in the wrong area!!  Fussy aren't we?  Roll Eyes

Have also seen some 'maybes' in Famara!

Friends live in Punta, so we visit regularly.

Great little village with a few nice bars and a couple of decent places to eat. I would recommend it to anyone who wants peace and relaxation.  Smiley

Arrieta is within walking distance and again is very nice, if slightly larger.

No problem Dottie - happy to help, as you know. It's a long term rental... but he might be open to suggestion.

Chris - we've never actually stopped in Punta Mujeres, only driven through to have a nosey. But Arrieta is lovely yes! Went to a funeral off the pier there, and we have sopped at the beach bar there a couple of times. Oh, and we nicked some cuttings from the plants above the toilets lol - growing like wildfire right no - with big purple flowers. Grin

Well - the long-term rental might not be available, but he needs some dates, and he may be able to help!

So, we now have to decide when, get flights, then choose a few places to email!! Wink
