smokie, why did you hit enter at the start of each line? It usually sorts its own knitting out.
I thought that was what you do to start a new line.
(like I've just done on here)
Why, is there a better way ?

Sorry, forgot which thread we're on.
Good afternoon, everybody.
That's better.

No if you just keep tying for ever, it wraps itself at the end of the line like this does.  I've got a wide screen so this so far is all on one line until I get to just here then it jumps to the next line.  When you see it on your screen it will go to a new line where it wants so I'm not sure where you'll see this go to a new line , mine's here.  So, in total this para is two and a half lines long on my screen.

What program are you printing from? That should sort itself out too.

If you put a return in here
it goes to the next line

You could use a biro.

Good afternoon

Tried that and it marked the screen.

Used to work with Jo Biro, Grandson of Laslo Biro, who invented them (Jo is apparently the anglisised version of Laslo, well that's what he said.

Ta John.
That's the bit I mean and that's fine, but if I go back and add something to that line (making the sentence longer than it was) it remembers where on the line the "return" was pressed and continues the sentence on the next line and that's what drives me up the wall.
It seems to not happen on here, so perhaps it's only on my email programme.
But "Ta" for helping.
