The Value of a Drink
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink, I feel shame . Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes and dreams . If I didn't drink this wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered.
Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this wine and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver."
~ Jack Handy

That is so, so me.
When I take my first drink of my stunning glass of rose wine - I feel the wine circulate into my veins and have the most profound effect on me.
Oh I Know what you are all thinking- Alcoholic!!!!

Of course Bicho - we'll give you lifetime membership. You'll fit right in!
Managed to wade through rather a large amount of vino last night. had friends round for dinner (well, at least THEY were sensible!). Surprised I'm not feeling fragile today - ah, that'll be because we didn't go to sleep until well after sunrise this morning, and slept most of today. Woke up to some cracking news though - keep watching this website for LOADS of bars being added over the coming week!!!!

I never drink water. I'm afraid it will become habit-forming.
It was a woman who drove me to drink, and I never had the courtesy to thank her for it.
Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.
There are only two real ways to get ahead today - sell liquor or drink it.
A few good quotes related to your topic I think, all by the late great W. C. Fields

I also think it was WC Fields who said "Some weasel nicked the cork from my lunch". Love it!
