Turtle loses his shell. Is he homeless or naked?

« on: September 18, 2009, 22:07:40 PM »

Come to think of it time to go to the pub - not impressed at all with Alesha Dixon on Strictly - bring back Arlene I say!

there you go - something in common with Mr SG!  He wants to start a thing on Facebook, bring back Arlene!  What does Alesha know - she won one series and that qualifies her as a judge does it?!

My early contenders - Ali Bastion is going to do well, and Tuffers isnt!

(sorreeeeee - just realised I haven't put this in the TV and movies section doh!)

The BBC website has been inundated with comments about substituting Alesha for Arlene and having seen Alesha tonight the bring back Arlene campaign is right - Alesha didn't make one single technical dancing comment all night whereas the other judges all commented to some degree on what the contestants did wrong or right while she just said things like "you were great".  Please!?

I don't know if this will work - or if it's ok with our hosts but this a link to about half way through the posts on the Alesha/Arlene debate on the Strictly website tonight.

thought I'd break off from the footie thread - so what did you think about Hingis going out then Josie?

There were obviously far worse dancers ...... Joe Calzaghe and Lynda Bellingham, I thought personally

This is just like being at the office SG!

I'm doing a big paperwork sort out - it's been coming for some time!

Didn't see the result as we were at the pub again having a meal.  I did think that someone had given Alesha some tips though as she was trying hard to comment on the technicalities - perhaps Len passes her a note!

I was surprised that as a tennis player she had such terrible timing. Linda was kept in as a oldie though I agree that she and Joe weren't very good.  That bloke from Eastenders was very enthusiastic but that goldfish mouth was hilarious.

I thought the best dance was the rumba with all the posing.

I've been having a quick look at the BBC message board using the link I posted earlier.  There seem to have been between 500 and 600 messages on the Arlene/Alesha thread over the weekend.  I can't see the BBC doing anything about it though.

I love some of the dance related user names - eg gingercodgers

evening Ali - thought I'd reply in this thread as its in the TV section!  Didn't think I had any other SCD fans on here!

OMG!  What are the public doing?!?!?!  They sooooo didnt deserve to be in the dance off but it was obvious who the judges would save!

But saying that, I was quietly pleased that Craig got through on his birthday and will reach Blackpool next week!
