I`ve changed my mind on what I would do, one more thing that might put me over budget? ( still get the best michy restauraunts though Dixie! Grin) It has just hit me... again! that the World cup is just around the corner, (doesn`t time fly) so I would just love to go there and see the best just doing the best, but I would love to be able to pay for a few good friends who would never get the chance....like us! Dream on eh? So after the World cup what then....mmmm?

Being serious, if I won a million, I'm with Currylover, I'd follow the F1 GP round the full circuit for a season, what a brilliant way to get involved and see the world, including a load of places you'd never think of going to.

I'd go mad on iTunes and buy everything that I've liked over the last 40 years.
Hang on, I might need two million for that.
I wouldn't tell mrs smokie, she'd want one of them thingy's, you know, them things that cost a fortune, no not a yacht, it's a sort of paper thingy, I just can't remember the name of it.
Oh yes, a divorce, and I wasn't thinking of spending that much.

Nah, can't do it.
The system that we're on has it blocked at the moment.
I'm just waiting for a guy I know to show me how to convert all the cassette tapes onto my computer and he's "coming round next week to show me" as he said last December.
I should go and see Jose at the "One Bar" over at the Rubicon Marina and ask him to let me copy his as he has almost anything you could possibly want to hear.
(and the coffee over there is excellent, well worth a drop in if you're in the area.)
My son has copied ALL his music and sent me copies over this week with Sue and Ian so I'll have a trawl through that and that'll add a bit of variety to my listening and it'll be a lot more recent stuff than the "ol' fa*t" stuff that I've got.

Oh yes please, please, that'd be lovely, please please, I promise I'll be good and everything.
Depressing is good, it makes real life so much better.
(Even "Quadrophenia" always cheered me up.)
I'd put a thousand tracks of ANYTHING I could lay my hands on onto my iTunes just so that I could see what happened if I tried to overload my iPod............answer, nothing happened. It just loaded it until it was full and then stopped.
But it means that I've got some absolute "pants" music on there like "The Yellow Rose of Texas" and stuff like that and a load of classical music that just always sounds as if Kruschev has died that day.
Some of it's ok, but being such a phillistine, to me classical music is a complete unknown unless it's been used on the telly adverts.
So any "new to me, music"  is good and then, when the cooler mornings return, If I'm walking into town for brekkie, I won't have to listen to Michel Thomas trying to teach me Spanish every day.

Smokie - good post which has given me an idea - let's have a CN get together at the ONE Bar on a Saturday night.  I know he takes requests.  It would be fun!

I've got about 2000 tracks on iTunes - including Michel Thomas Spanish lessons!  My worst tracks ever are some dirge like Scottish bagpipes music I downloaded for a Burns Night party.  Believe me The Yellow Rose of Texas is the best tune ever in comparison......

Smokie - next time we come up to your place... we'll bring them with us. Will probably take a while to copy over - but your missus makes a damn fine cup of tea - so we can have a natter whilst it's doing its thing.
