Nice to get the chance to see some movies on longhaul flights.  On the way out to my holiday last weekend I saw the Kings Speech which was brilliant (I cried) and on the way back last night I saw The Social Network which was also good but a bit heavy going in places.

I will watch the Kings Speech at some point, but Social Network just doesn't appeal at all. Mind you, saying that, the last film I did watch was Carry on Cruising, so what does that say about me lol - actually, no - don't answer that Wink

We watched the 2008 Brideshead Revisited last night.  It was poor.  The series on TV years ago was 13 hours long, and this seemed like they had snipped a random 2hrs 15 minutes out of the series, so it was horribly disjointed, and, in addition, there were no sympathetic characters.

watched hall pass and go with it today

go with it was very enjoyable and had a fair few belly laughs in it, hall pass was also funny but nothing too special.

Yesterday I watched 3 movies...

The Adjustment Game - I really REALLY enjoyed this. Don't want to say too much in case it ruins it for anyone. But I do recommend it. The first 20 minutes make it seem like a political drama, and then it twists. Enjoy!

127 Hours - been meaning to watch this for some time. Well worth that wait - Very highly recommended. Based on true story about a climber who gets trapped, and eventually chops his own arm off to excape.

The Animal Kingdom - gritty Australian drama. Aussie films are normally either really bad... or really good. This one was definitely the latter.

Finally watched "The Kings Speech"... and loved it! Deserved its Oscars.

Hereafter - another really enjoyable movie! But then it has Matt Damon, so you know what you're getting

Fathers With Daughters - a very nice movie with Ray Winstone. Odd ending... happened all of a sudden. Worth a watch though.

Started watching London Boulevard last night, but fell asleep. No reflection on the movie, was just shattered. Will rewatch it again soon.

The Blind Side - Snadra Bullock as a christian lady who takes a kid in who ends up becoming NFL pro - a lot more about the family than sports so its a good watch even if you cant be fussed with all the sporting movie cliches. Based on true story. Enjoyed this one.

Finished watching London Boulevard last night - absolutely brilliant!! Highly recommended. Ray Winstone and Colin Farrell were superb... but David Thewliss(?) was legendary!
