There seemed to be a fair number of bars in PB that had free Wifi.  I was just wondering if there were many place in Corralejo that had free Wifi.

Thanks for your help.

The Winning Post has..... Only one on this site, but I'm sure plenty more will have too.

Thanks for the info.  Is that anywhere near the Oasis Village, because that's where I'm staying?

Don't know Dave I'm afraid. Never been over there believe it or not. Even if it's not I'm sure the town will be well covered. If it's anything like PB - when we moved here 3 years ago give or take a couple of exceptions on Wax had wi-fi. Nowadays its unusual to find a bar that hasn't...

Here's a map to where your hotel is Dave. The Winning Post is in CC Oasis Tamarindo which is on Avenida de Las Islas Canarias.

If you can get out the back of your hotel, then that should be quicker for you.

Of course you know how dodgy my directions can be. So here is a map to look at that might help.

Map to your hotel: http://www.hotelstreet.co.uk/Hotel_Map-11852-Oasis_Village.html

Zoom in until the slider on the right is on the 3rd from the top. CC Oasis Tamarindo is between the roundabout and the LV1 label on Avda de Las Islas Canarias on that map.

Hope that helps?

PS: Bart's not been with me to Fuerteventura yet. When are you due over again?

Thanks again for the help.  I take it you mean the FV1? Near the Municipal Library?  Is it a fairly  new CC because I can see a patch of bare earth roughly at that location on Google Maps?

We're there on 27th January for 10 nights.  After that I'm not sure when our next Canarian jaunt is , because we're booked to go to Florida in October 2010.

ALSO, can anyone shed any light on a day trip to Islas Lobos?  Do they do excursions or do you just get a ferry by yourself and does anyone know approximate costs?

Thanks

Don't now how much but there are excursions over there available. No doubt they´ll have flyers available in hotel receptions.

Saw them when I was out sailing with a friend - but can't remember the name of the boats. I think they are flexible so you are not tied to time. Lovely beach there and there's a restaurant on the island if you fancy lunch.

It's in that general area yes Dave. Not THAT new, as they've been on this site for a couple of years. Madstock might be able to give better directions than me. But anyone around there will be able to point you straight to it. Winning Post is popular there like Wax Bar is here.

You can book the Lobos excursion down by the ferry port. They have a stand there. I think it's close to the Catlanza stand. I vaguely remember seeing it from when I was last there. Can't help with costs I'm afraid.

I joined the library to get free wifi. Just need a couple of photographs and padron certificate. However nobody checks whether you are a member of the library. So anyone can wander in, sit down on comfy chairs and use your laptop for as long as you want for free. They also have computers available with internet connection, these are suppose to be booked, but I have never known a time when they are all being used, so you can just wander in and ask if if ok to use them. This is useful if you have to book a flight and need to print a ticket or check in online as they have printers, but you have to supply the paper yourself.
