Sorry CG, saw this ages ago and then 4got to reply  i get ther in the end tho.IMO thinking more about it push him for the one he can be succesful in as if he can end up reaching decent level itll mean something to him when he gets a bit older and that sort of thing is always good in building his character and giving him a good level of self esteem. but then also get him set up with a few mates on a random week night at powerleague and hire a pitch so he can get his footy fill in - itll only cost him and his mates about 5 pound each to book an hour on a wednesday nite or something. hope that makes sense to you but whatever you do dont push too hard as if he aint totally enamoured with that plan hell only resist it more if u try and force him on it. |

2/6/10 given the time thats lapsed between the match and me posting probably gives you an indication of how this game went. typcal results at powerleague if u look back across the history of this thread tend to be something along hte lines of 11-6 or 9-4 etc. last wednesday on a warm, warm evening was 2-0 to our oppo's. 2-0!!! think thats the lowest scoring game in the hisory of 5 a side everywhere ever!! I was shockingly bad. to be fair they had subs and we didnt and it really took it out of us as i felt like i was playing on my own at times - purely because we spent more time defending than trying to push up. i must have done the 'swing and a miss' trick about 6 times and the number of times the ball bobbled off my foot/knee/chest/etc was too high to keep count of. i hit the post and we had one goal ruled out for over head height (which i would bet my right foot wasnt - not my left, ill never bet the left foot ) so it could have been different and if we had got one goal i think we would have definitely got back into it and probably got a result. too much hard work for me up top on my own getting little back for my running and little support once i did get the ball - missed our other older lad in the centre of the park but he is an outstanding keeper and if he does step outfield then its a massive loss at the back so its as bad either way - gonna have to look at recruiting some of our lads from the disbanded team to beef up the squad i think. crap game for me offensively, we all did ok defensively (some better than others *me being others*) as if we concede 2 goals in a powerleague match we are usually laughing on the way home. not this time tho. anyway all in all not impressed with last wednesday. hope 2moros game will be better. LeFtY rating = 2/10 |

Eurgh match got cancelled!! so im sat here with RiGhTy instead watching the latest bunch of crackheads entering the big brother house *sigh* FFS Hurry up with the F'in world cup already!!!!!! |
