I had Jewel Of India's meal deal at lunchtime. They are offering a few deals but I went for the 9.95e deal. You get a choice of onion bajia or chicken packora (sp!) to start with then lamb in any curry sauce you like (madrid, korma etc) with a choice of rice, nan or chips.
I choose the bajia's then lamb korma with nan. I was warned that as my food was cooked to order there would be a wait of 20-25 minutes which didn't bother me especially as they offered large beer at 1.40e.
When it arrived it was very good. I got 2 small bajia's that were lovely and crisp on the outside but most inside. The lamb korma was in a small metal dish and I got a decent sized nan with indian butter (sorry can't remember the correct term for it) and garlic. Thought for 11.35e including my beer it was a great deal. Although I was worried as one waiter seemed very interested I was here on my own...I think he though I may 'swing left'.
