Short of time so can't write the review yet, plus need a little time to build up sufficient bile and venom to truely do this shithole place the justice it deserves.

Very funny But seriously! Surprised to see a bad review for El Argentino. Looking forward to hearing what the story was Flash. We love it there, but we are big into meat so perhaps we haven't tried much else to give us a full experience of the place. Do tell!

Us too - I've just read this to Mr C and he's wetting himself laughing as well as looking forward to the review - he did make the point about it sounding like a good place for a steak, but I've pointed out that that is unlikely to form part of the review lol

Right, while I've got a quick five mins, El Argentino (EA).
We've been to EA quite a few times, and liked it a lot, there's veggie stuff on the menu and the fish is good, but the food isn't in my review, as I'll explain.
The first time we went the little waitress (little dark haired girl who had a nasty looking broken wrist) spoke to us only in Spanish (unless we needed a little help) and at the end of the meal said "Gracias pour su Latino"
A couple of times later she still had the wrist strapped so I asked her about it in English (my Spanish isn't good enough) so she told me it was getting better etc.
Anyway, we'd called at Manea (still s**t service) and went upstairs for a meal. Little dark haired lady (LDHL) was at the till in the street side room, I asked if there were any tables and she told us to ask the waitress (new one) inside (a bit short in tone actually) We did, got some menus and ordered a bottle of wine and our food, don't think the wine had even arrived and there was a big fuss as a table of about six stormed out complaining they'd had nothing and been there two hours. New Waitress (NW) burst into tears, though they assured her they could see it wasn't her fault, LDHL didn't get involved.
I looked round, saw there was no-one with food on the tables, but a big party seemed to have just finnished eating. I said to Lynn, well, we'll just neck the wine I don't care how long it takes. Then a meal turned up for one of the big party that had eaten, clearly he hadn't eaten with them.
After a while (still not caring much) the meals for a table of four or five turned up (served of course by poor NW) two meals were promptly sent back because they were the wrong ones, along with loads of complaints that if they'd waited two hours at least they could get it right - NW in tears (NWit) again.
Then there was a stand off for a while, while nothing happened, when suddenly another table lost patience, told NW (rapidly becoming NWit again) it wasn't her fault and left. I realised as well as LDHL there was a guy in a funny outfit - waiter? (FOW?) hanging around with LDHL around the till doing nowt either. NW looked distraught, down to two tables other than the big one waiting for their mate to finish.
Out of the blue, an hour and a bit after we ordered LDHL, yes LDHL, appeared in the restaurant with two tiny bread rolls and put them in front of us. I said is this the best you can do after an hour? (we'd ordered the little pasty things for starters) She started explaining, very slowly, in Spanish, that it took a long time to make those starters, going into great detail about how you had to chop all the ingredients up "chop, chop, chop" and "mix, mix, mix" doing the fugging actions too! looking at me in a very challenging way. So I said 'by the way I know you speak English because we've spoken before - remember about your broken wrist' and pointed to my wrist. She said "El tiempo?" and carried on, with a very smug look explaining the mixing of the pastry. I felt an explosion coming on, but wasn't prepared to make it a language issue, I started saying something in Spanish when she held her hands up to my face making nipping actions and saying "neep, neep, neep" (for the sealing of the pastry) with an even smuger smile. Now in Ferryhill she'd have been sparked out on the spot at this point.
Lynn saw the alarm bells and said "we're leaving" and grabbed me and dragged me to the till, to pay for the wine. NW burst into tears (of course) I said to her it wasn't her fault and the other two lazy people (I didn't swear) had done nothing to help. At this point LDHL was at the serving hatch waving the little pastries to me to show me what they were like, how I didn't turn back and tw@t him, on her behalf, I'll never know. Probably because Lynn was dragging me "out, out, out!"
So LDHL, EA and FOW? can all FRO as far as I'm concerned, something's going on and if they're going bust I'll have a smug look on my face and be saying "pop, pop, pop" while I do the actions.
Went to Casa Luna instead, great meal and service, and was full of all the people who'd gone out expecting steak not pizza.
