Does anyone know if there are any organised trips to this place or will we have to get there by ourselves. A forum buddy has recommended a visit but she just used public transport. I'd probably get lost LOL..

There must be tours available honey... although I don't know specifically which. Why not pop into a couple of hotels when you're here, and get a price comparison off them xx

Probably cheaper to go by yourself though I would think. I've been there twice and you don't need a guided tour as such - they do have guide books and those recorded commentary machines. It's at Tahiche which is not that far from PDC or Costa Teguise. If you're at a hotel or complex you could ask them for advice about transport options. A shared cab might work.

Meant to say that we booked the express trip through last minute travel at 15 euro's each which wasn't bad and we enjoyed seeing the house

We thought so Elle and saved us the bother of trying to organise it ourselves. Worth a visit

I still haven't been to his house. It's on the list... but just haven't got there yet., Only did Timanfaya last year for the first time - but loved it, so have been twice now.

Good idea - remember once (many) years ago when Mr C and I were first dating and living in London, we did the touristy thing one day, despite both having been there for years (well, him, obviously more than me lol ), but it was a fab day that we both still remember.

Indeed! Loving the discounts. Bart went to the Cactus Gardens with his Dad recently... and it only cost him €0.50 to get in. €1.50 for Jameos del Agua or Timanfaya too!
I've got a page somewhere on our Relocation blog that has all those discounts listed too.

We've not done ANY of the tourist attractions yet (went to Los Hervidores once) and we've been here much longer than you Elle. In saying that, I lived in Paris for nearly two years and went up the Eiffel Tower, on the way to the airport, on the day I was leaving. One of those "I suppose I should do it before I leave" moments. Lynne
