A polite and friendly "No thanks very much" seems to work for me. The PR's are only doing their job, after all!

I was never pestered by a PR this year to go into a Bar or Restaurant, I don't know why mates.

They don't bother me too much to be honest.  Sometimes you can even get a good deal out of them - free starters, half price cocktails etc...

I was in Turkey earlier this year and they have people outside every place, but they were polite and if you said no thanks they left you alone, as I have encountered in most resorts.

People trying to sell me time shares annoy me far more than pub PRs.

I agree with Markol that time share is a lot more annoying than the PR's outside the bars/restaurants and it was the main reason why we stopped going to Tenerife as the harassment got unbearable. We even got to the stage where we were taking the side roads to avoid them but they were riding round on scooters with the tout on the back and there was no escape.
There was a plus side though, if it hadn't been for them then I might not have found the delights of Lanzarote.  Smiley
I have yet to be approached by time share in Lanzarote.
