Just thought it would be fun to see what makes your mind tick and why you have come up with the username that you use and what it means, so heres mine for starters......

RATUKOULA was given to me by the staff from a hotel in Fiji. I stayed there for approx 6 months whilst working and got to know them well.

The RATU in fijian means Chief, which the villagers of fiji have...a chief.......

KOULA is the fijian word for Bird.......my surname being Bird.....

So it stuck.........Daily i was greeted with "Morning Ratukoula"

I chose my username because of our visit to Lanza a few weeks ago, Boulevard is the name of a rock tribute band who know how to play their stuff and get the growd going, without having to play cheesey holiday tunes! they are a band of 3 geezers and I'm an ageing balding rock geezer! I like all types of music though..if its good and makes you wanna strut like JT!

'Seamermate' always sounded very nautical to me until I knew exactly what it meant. Almost reminiscent of Captain Pugwash!  Wink

Even though I probably look more Homer than Bart - and my kids are convinced I'm Homer, I'm much more Bart in attutude... Still a big kid at heart!

I chose Flooey randomly lol - and not for any particular reason. I'm Elle1971 everywhere else - because that's my name, and year of birth.

The name Madstock comes from a series of concerts by the great Madness held at Finsbury Park during the Nineties.
It was also the title of a live album that was taken from the first of these concerts in 1992.

I thought Seamermate came from your love of cricket.
I mistakenly thought you were a 'seamer'.  Embarrassed

Rat, I'm glad you started this as I've often wondered where your name came from.

I've now got the "dancing tune" from The Office stuck in my head because of Ratukoula's avatar! Loved that programme!

It's OK Flooey I know a cure. . . . . . .

Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, shake the tree,
Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, grind coffee,
To the left, to the right, jump up and down and to the knees,
Come and dance every night, sing with the hula melody.

I met a hula mistress somewhere in Waikiki,
Well, she was selling pineapple, playing ukulele,
And when I went to the girl, "Come on and teach me to sway,"
She laughed and whispered to me, "Yes, come tonight to the bay."

The lovely beach, in the sky the moon of Kauai,
Around calypso sarong we'll all be singing this song.

Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, shake the tree,
Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, grind coffee,
To the left, to the right, jump up and down and to the knees,
Come and dance every night, sing with the hula melody.

Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, shake the tree,
Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, grind coffee,
To the left, to the right, jump up and down and to the knees,
Come and dance every night, sing with the hula melody.

And down on the shore they gather romance,
She showed me much more, not only to dance.

Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, shake the tree,
Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, grind coffee,
To the left, to the right, jump up and down and to the knees,
Come and dance every night, sing with the hula melody.

Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, shake the tree,
Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, grind coffee,
To the left, to the right, jump up and down and to the knees,
Come and dance every night, sing with the hula melody.

The lovely beach, in the sky the moon of Kauai,
Around calypso sarong we'll all be singing this song.

Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, shake the tree,
Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, grind coffee,

Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, shake the tree,
Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, grind coffee,

Come and dance every night, sing with the hula melody.

I hope I've been of some help.  Kiss

I think the 'truely' was inspired by the Sound of Music's 'truly scrumptious' song. I just spelt the nickname how I felt at the time, I hadn't realised that 'truely' doesn't actually exist in the Dictionary. For me it has a nice ring to it spelling 'true' and then the 'l' and 'y' merging with my first name Ana. The nickname kinda flows within it's own essence, in contrast with who I am.  Grin I like it
