Hi Everyone!
Where would be a good place to "drown the shamrock" on St. Patricks Day?
I would especially be looking for a pub that maybe showing Gaelic football live. Any suggestion greatly appreciated.

Hi Ed - and welcome to the forum. I'm afraid I'm not the most au fait with Irish Bars in CT - but there are a couple along the seafront.

Hopefully one of our CT fans can help you out. xx

Hi,

Go down to the Irish Bailey, it is on the sea front on the harbour side. Its a really friendly bar, Debbie and Dave who work there are great.

Have a great time, wish I was going again that soon - 48 days for me!!

ooo ! spoilt for choice on st.patricks day, lots of parties, papa jack's bar has live music and party on all day and night ( the 3 bridies, fab girls) guiness and i do believe clare will be making her famous irish stew! they are in plaza tanderena.
also on the sea front just along from the bailey is hennesy's,true irish owners, lots of craic and footie!
then in peublo marinero you have the snug which has live music too,so why not do a bit of a crawl and get them all in!! i know it doesnt sound many but quality above quantity here in costa! Wink
happy hols x

Hi Ed
Cork man Derek Brown will be playing at the Irish bailey on paddy's night from 9.30, mighty craic in there, he's there every weds.
He will be also playing with his son Jake at an earlier session at 5pm in Papa Jacks and at again 7pm in Ryans Bar.
Derek plays guitar and sings, Jake is a mandolin maestro when taking time off from lead guitar in kids punk band Nauty Boyz
Loads of trad sing along stuff and an excellent version of miserlou (Theme from pulp fiction) worth catching them just for that honestly
enjoy your hols!
