Hello everyone,

I am looking for some advice please regarding sourcing materials for a new bathroom.I have a property in Playa Blanca that needs a new bathroom, the skills to carry out the work are not a problem (i will probably regret saying that) as i work as a bathroom/kitchen fitter in the UK.I know of the FT outlets in PB and Tias and have seen various other places around Playa Honda when driving past.Could anyone recommend the most competitive places to purchase:bathroom suites, tiles, plumbing and building materials?I will have transport and wondered if it was best to shop in Arreciffe?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Derek - and welcome to the forum.

I'm afraid I'm not really au fait with that kind of thing. But what about Indelasa (sp?) on the Matagorda road taht goes from Matagorda to the dual carriageway in the Arrecife direction? Might be worth having a nosey in there hon. Hopefully someone can come up trumps for you!

Might also be worth speaking to the boys at www.cocinasdirect.com as they might be able to source some stuff for you at a good price.

Good luck!

Hi Derek.
First of all, welcome to the forum.
Not sure if this will be of any help, but there is a DIY store in Deiland (downstairs) at Playa Honda. Not sure if they do what your looking for, but could be worth having a quick look.
You may have already seen it Derek, but I thought it could be worth a mention.

Try Rocas which is up by the hospital in Arrecife, take the turn just past the Milar shop in the Argana centre and along that road 300m on the left

Derek - we had to buy bathroom fittings for our place in Playa Blanca and discovered the best value/quality was the Roca hotel (ie bog standard) range from the Roca distributor at the northern end of the Playa Honda industrial estate.

HI Moses1.

I'd head over to Playa Honda and the San Bart road in Arrecife... as well as the IKEA road over that way. Between those three places you should be able to view a fair range and compare some half decent prices.

Welcome to the forum by the way!

I'm not completely up to date on the prices I'm afraid honey. I have been told however, that it's dearer here than in the UK. Might be worth you doing a price comparison with there... and getting it shipped over? Loads more hassle - but worth looking at.
