I'm coming back again in 35 days (not that I am counting), although I love CT I fancy trying chilled out night out in Puerto Calero, I see there is a bus that goes from CT, can anyone tell me how much this cost and how long the bus takes? Also, how much will a taxi back will cost?
And as for the other 9 nights, can't wait to see you all in CT.

The buses are on www.arrecifebus.com - but you will have to get one to Puerto del Carmen (€2.60 each way) and then change at the Biosfera for Calero. Can't remember how much that is unfortunately - but it won't be expensive... as it's then only €2.40 to Playa Blanca from PdC. Watch those timetables though... as the buses to PC aren't very frequent. Maybe Rich can tell you about the water taxi?

Journey from CT to PDC is about 40 minutes... then I'd guess 15-20 minutes to Calero. I'd get a taxi back to PdC from PC... and then bus back to CT from there. Someone mentioned a taxi from PC to PdC on here the other day (Desdamona maybe?) and I think they said €7... but I'm not entirely sure.

i had an evening in Calero about six weeks ago. Had the 10 e's special at La Tomato, which was excellent. But.............Calero itself was very quiet. Perhaps not the place to go for a happening night out. Especially if you've got to navigate the bus system to do it...........

Hi,
Ok I'll try and help you as I live in puerto calero. Got to agree with Dr Roberts. If you want a quiet meal and drink then puerto calero is great but out of summer (when the boating regatta's are on) then there's only 1 late bar - casa blanca (after 11pm) unless you catch mcsorley's on a good night and can drink until 1am. To be honest I eat out in puerto calero most Saturday's and this week my friend and I were one of the last ones around at just before midnight (restaurants close at 11pm at this time of year). There were 4 people in the Indian and that was it. I sometimes go from here to San Miguel's bar in pdc.
The number 25 bus goes from costa teguise to puerto calero but you'll be limited as the last bus is at 12.10am during the week and 12.00am at weekends and holidays. Always get there 10 minutes early as the bus can arrive 10 minutes early (or late) and do not wait. A bus into puerto del carmen costs 1.15 each way. A taxi to the biosfera should cost no more than 6 euro's even after midnight.
Hope that helps?

Hi Rich,

Thank you so much for your advice. We aren't looking for a mad night out, I just went on a day trip when I was out last year (my Sept trip I think :S ) which ended up in Puerto Calero for an hour and although there were only a few people about I liked the atmosphere so I thought it would be nice to go over for a couple of hours one night and experience something different.
