I'm off to Costa Teguise in November and I just have a couple of questions if you would be so kind.
Firstly I am staying at the Lanzarote Paradise Club which I believe is a distance out from the main beach and bar areas; does anybody know a) how long it would take me to walk there? b) how much it would be in a taxi? And c) if there is much of a nightlife near the hotel?
I am usually one of those who hates staying in the hotel when on holiday and I only intend on being there when sleep is required.
As November is out of season I wondered does this affect the opening times of the local establishments. I usually enjoy drinking until the early hours and hopefully this will still be possible. Which brings be onto another question, I can see there are plenty of bars - which suits me fine - but are there any clubs (discos) in Teguise? Although I do plan on spending one evening in PDC I wondered if there was anything here too.
Finally I assume the weather is usually fine in November?
Thanks for taking the time in reading this and I'll see some of the bar owners on here in November.

Hello markol - and a warm welcome to the forum from a very warm Lanzarote!
The place you mentioned is out by the water park... which is about a 20 minute walk into town. A taxi shouldn't be too much though - about 3 or 4 euros perhaps? But do check the price before you get in. There's not a lot of nightlife up by your hotel... although I think there's a pool bar at the Santa Barbara Club... so you're definitely better heading into town. Costa Teguise is more about the bars and restaurants than party central (in a similar way to Playa Blanca) but there's usually a party going on somewhere. No problems with the opening hours... they don't vary that much. I can't help with the discos... but someone else should be able to.
PdC definitely has more of that scene - and there was a conversation on here a while back where Jude (I think) from the British Cafe said the buses run back really late - so no worries with getting home from there. You could also try a jaunt in Arrecife and try the Spanish clubs. A bus from CT to Arrecife is only about €1.15 if memory serves me correctly.
November weather is very springlike. Not as hot as now... but you should still be seeing temps of the low twenties celsius. Do bring a jacket for the evenings though... particularly as Costa is the windiest of the resorts (which is why the windsurfers love it so much). You "shouldn't" see much rain if any... as that's more October.
Have a great time!
Elle xx

hi mark, november is not as jumping as summer but you can still find a good night out if you look hard! more oldies than summer but we can party as hard as the rest of em!! the main square pueblo marinero is busy till midnight ish then there are a few late night bars to try, saxos, paradise and dreams are all late bars 4am ish you can find them up the stairs opposite the teguise playa hotel, then you have jesters bar which is a favourite with the locals who have just finished work! kareoke and live music till 5am this is in the square next to peublo marinero, next door to the scrum and tackle and upstairs from us ( british cafe) there are bars and stuff nearer to you by santa rosa apartment/playa bastian area but if you get the chance drop in and stu can do you a bit of a map. happy hols mate x

Thanks Jude. Although I still do not like to admit it I am probably edging towards being classed as an oldie myself (well at 35 I can't at least be classed as one of young ones anymore), but I still know how to have a good time. If there's a late night bar open I'm sure I'll find it.
The first thing I always do on the first day of any holiday is have a walk round the resort so that I don't miss out anything - so if (when) I come across your place I'm sure I'll pop in.
I can see what my main problem will be already - I hate Karaoke - which tends to be the main form of entertainment when you go anywhere abroad; but if there is beer on tap I'm sure I'll survive.

we are of course all spring chickens on here! i was refering to over 18's!! mark not all the bars have kareoke,in fact most of them dont! it's mainly the late night ( open til 4am) type that do, you'll find the main square around pueblo marinero is fairly busy most nights, live music in the scots and wry and live music with musicians in papa jacks, most nights and everyone is friendly so just ask around and i'm sure youll have a good time happy hols x ps, re buses to puerto del carmen, they do still run all thro the night every hour just ask for centro atlantico ( the bus stops at the macdonalds) that is where the main party bars are,but as for coming back they have changed the one way route thro carmen now so you will have to ask where the bus stop is,elle might help out here? you might have to walk up to the biosfera or get a taxi to it( 3-4 euro ish) to catch the bus back and the fare is about 2.50 one way.

You're only as old as you are in your mind. In my mind I am still in my early twenties, loud music, plenty to drink and a good party. I am not your stereotypical character from Shameless, I can be respectable too - if fact you'll probably see me studying during the day (Open University) and partying at night.
11 weeks to go.
