Morning all.

Well only 3 weeks to go.  Grin

Trying to think of any more information we need help with before we go. Just 1 thing we are concerned about.  Huh
So here goes.........

We don't land until 21.30 on a Sunday, We have to pick up the hire car, so we are not expecting to be out of the airport till around 22.30.
I asked If we get a welcome pack in the villa but we don't. I was told that the owner says there is a supermarket 100 yards from us that is open til midnight Huh Huh.
Can anyone confirm this. We are worried that we wont have anything to eat or drink on our arrival, No bottled water either, (I need my water for my tablets). We only need a few provisions, Coffee, milk, bread, butter, water, and of course A bottle of wine or 2 to celebrate the start of our hols. Just to see us through the night, then we can shop on Monday.
If the shop 100 yards from us is not open can anyone tell us if there is somewhere that will be open on the route from the airport to playa blanca. Please remember we have not been before so dont want to be driving around in the dark searching.
We have chose not to eat on the plane as we are not that keen on the food served, we shall eat at the airport before we fly, so we will be a little hungry by the time we get to the villa, dont really want to wait till shops open monday morning to have something to eat.

I don't know what time that supermarket shuts.... but if your villa owners have assured you it's open - then hopefully it will be.

If you're really unsure honey - then drop me a PM, and we'll see if we can't come up with another option for you. If need be, us or someone else will go shopping for you... and can leave it in a Faro Park bar or something for you to pick up.

Or... go to www.lanzaroteshop4me.com and see if they'll let you pay by Paypal or something ahead of time... and then they can leave it somewhere for you too. I think they charge a delivery fee - but you could make that shop worth its while.

I'll give one of the guys in Faro a call today to see if they can confirm the time the supermarket closes on a Sunday for you.

We'd not leave you stranded with no provisions - don't worry!

Hi Tshaddy! Smiley  I think you may just be too late for the shop, even if it closes at midnight.  You really have to allow for delays of any sort!
Well Elle - you are truly a saviour for Tshaddy etc Smiley  What a wonderful offer.

Hope your hols get off to a great start and that you enjoy every minute ~ from an envious wannabe Lanza resident!!

Hi again Tracey. Nobody can give me adefinitive answer at this end I'm afraid. They say that yes it closes late... but that there's not always a pattern to it.

Speak to me a week or so before if you can't get anything sorted, and we'll sort it out for you. xxxx

Hi Elle,
Checked the website you gave previous. they charge 25 euros delivery. What we need to get us through does not even come to that so will give it a miss. but thanks anyway.
Hubby says if it comes to it, we will pack coffee, milk, and wine, food can wait till monday lol, We are taking 2 cases now so should be able to fit a few provisions in. Think he is more concerned about his wine more than anything, lol, not that he is an alcholic, lol, Bless him though, he wont be drinking on the way there cus of driving, so he deserves a few after we arrive at the villa.

Only just seen this thread Tracey.  There's a hiperdino express supermarket at the airport now don't know what time it closes. Turn right after arrivals.  I have bought water at the petrol station before. J x

I think (but can't guarantee without checking) that the petrol station at Uga is open until 11pm - and yes, you can get the basics from there...
